This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Here's the week 6 notes. I can't hook-up my scanner so I gotta type all this shit out. Thus, I'm shortening it. You're an asshole. Take notes next time.

Transducer - energy converter Sound waves- change in air pressure
*microphones convert acoustic energy into electric current.
Element - division type Fidelity - how true to the original sound
*type = how does it work
Mics: a) non professional 1. crystal - First electric mic used in broadcasting 2. carbon - better fidelity
b) professional 1. moving coil-diaphram attached to a coil of wire mounted between magnets of opposite poles. this generates voltage also called DYNAMIC. Operates by magnetic variations.
2. ribbon- very delicate. thin strip of metal (usually silicon) vibrates. extremely smooth sounding, and used for vocals.
3. capacitor - also condenser, no magnets. needs power source (phantom power)
*bigger diaphragm = better suited to low frequency
Proximity effect - the closer you are to the mic, the greater the bass (mostly applies to dynamics)
inverse square law - when distance doubles between mic and source, there's a 6dB loss in signal.
Pickup Patterns 1) unidirectional -> cardioid- control one gets int eh mic. *ports are openings int eh casings, enable sound to come behind diaphragm and cancel out.
2. bi-directional - two directions OO or 8
3. Omni-directional - all directions O
Asscessories:
Roll off - reduces amount of bas pad - reduces sensitivity of mic.
